Digital Greater Essex 2020 lays the foundations for the future

Our vision:

To work together to deliver
demonstrable benefits to the health,
well-being and social care of our
local population, through innovation,
education and research.

On Monday 23 January, Anglia Ruskin Health Partnership hosted nearly 100 people for their Digital Greater Essex 2020 event to help develop a vision for the future using the latest technology.

Representatives from industry, health and academia came together to develop ideas that could help implement change and drive innovation and collaboration.

One of the speakers at the event, Dominic Campbell from Futuregov, encouraged participants to break silos and to use digital technology to redesign services.

Feedback from the event was very positive with many offering suggestions and proposals to move technology forward.

Councillor Stephen Canning Cabinet Member for Digital Innovation, IT and Customer at Essex County Council said: “Thank you for organising this great event, I’d be more than happy to continue to be involved with this work in the future.”

Dr Oonagh Corrigan, Senior Research Fellow at the Faculty of Health Social Care an Education at Anglia Ruskin University said, “Great conference!”

On twitter @ @GillianFurlong2  tweeted: “It was an energising session, need to build on that energy and enthusiasm we generated.”

And @NHSHealthhelp tweeted:” Thanks for the invite to your digital event. Lots of best practice shared today across the patch.”
